What's New for 2026
You’ll find plenty of exciting updates to the adventurous Defender 90 for the 2026 model year. This iconic model is now available solely in one trim level, equipped with the venerable 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine. In addition to the simplified trim range, the Defender 90 also gets some light exterior tweaks including new lighting elements and updated bumpers. Rounding out the list of changes, every Defender 90 gains a newly standard 13.1-inch touchscreen display with improved software and a new gear shift lever.

Beneath the hood of the Defender 90 lies a muscular 5.0L P525 Supercharged V8 that cranks out an impressive 518 horsepower and 461 lb-ft of torque. Purpose built to conquer any obstacle standing in your path, you can take advantage of a standard eight-speed ZF® automatic transmission and twin-speed transfer box. Further bolstering the capability of the Defender 90 is its availability to tow up to 8,201 pounds along with its available Advanced Tow Assist function. Available across the Defender 90 range is the Configurable Terrain Response® system, giving you the flexibility to adjust the setup of the vehicle to match the conditions. A fully-independent suspension, twin-speed transfer box, and permanent four-wheel drive prove that nothing will stand between you and your next adventure with the Defender 90.

In keeping with tradition, the Defender 90 can be customized with an impressive array of bold exterior colors and accents to match your own unique personality. Examples include Borasco Silver, Santorini Black, Eiger Grey, and Fuji White along with heritage color options like Godwana Stone, Woolstone Green, and Tasman Blue. You’ll also have your choice of several wheel designs spanning from 18 to 22 inches in size.
