What the Critics Say
There aren’t many SUVs that are as capable as the Defender, and they mostly come from Land Rover’s lineup. Some may consider the Jeep Wrangler a cheaper alternative, but the Defender has it beat when it comes to on-road refinement and available luxury appointments.” — Car and Driver
Banking on its storied history as a go-anywhere, do-anything SUV before the term SUV even existed, the Defender has the off-road chops to tackle some of the most daunting challenges. At the same time, it’s a modern Land Rover, with the luxury trappings that make it easy to live with when you’re on big-city pavement.” — Edmunds
What’s New for 2025
There have been some major changes to the Defender 110 lineup for 2025. The SE and V8 Carpathian Edition have been dropped from the lineup, making room for two new top-end trims, the OCTA and OCTA Edition One, with the latter being similar to the former, but with a bit more offroad equipment. This new trim also comes with a whole new V8, distinct from the one found in the V8. This new engine is a 4.4-liter twin-turbo with a mild hybrid system that makes 626 horsepower. It is the most powerful engine ever put in a Defender. It also comes with an active exhaust that gives it a distinct exhaust note, unique brakes, and an air suspension system that is also unique to the OCTA.
Defender 110 Features

Proven Performance & Capability
Drivers will be able to choose between a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, badged P300, and a six-cylinder Mild-Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) powertrain, badged P400. P300 variants use an advanced twin-scroll turbocharged for balanced power delivery and a 0-60 time of 7.0 seconds. The P400 MHEV powertrain harvests energy normally lost during deceleration and redeploys it to optimize performance. Both come paired to a smooth and responsive eight-speed ZF® automatic transmission and twin-speed transfer box. For the ultimate in performance, upgrade to one of the two available V8 engines, a supercharged 5.0-liter example that makes 518 horsepower or a twin-turbo 4.4-liter power plant that produces 626 horsepower. A maximum towing capacity of 8,201 pounds and available Advanced Tow Assist help highlight the tremendous capability of the Defender 110. Configurable Terrain Response® makes its debut in the Defender 110 (standard on X derivatives and optional on others), allowing drivers to fine-tune the setup of the vehicle to suit the conditions. A fully independent suspension, twin-speed transfer box, and permanent four-wheel drive ensure no obstacle will stand in your way.

Rugged Exterior
The Defender 110 is one of the most capable offroad vehicles that you can buy today, and that is evident just from looking at it. What sets the Defender 110 apart from its rivals is that it manages to be stylish and attractive on the road while making absolutely zero compromises in offroad ability. The customization options for the Defender 110 are extensive as well, with six different trims, five accessory packs, and a huge range of paint colors and wheel designs, ranging in size from 19 to 22 inches. A prime example of the blend of form and function on the Defender 110 is the available Satin Protective Film, which protects the vehicle’s paint from scratches, keeping it looking good for even the most ardent offroad enthusiast.

Intuitive Technology
A practical layout and ergonomic design combine to create an interior that helps even the most inhospitable terrain feel more comfortable. The Defender 110 can be specified with five, six, or 5+2 seating. You’ll have your choice of three upholstery options including Resolve Textile, Grained Leather, and a durable Robust Woven Textile featuring higher Decitex fibers. The rugged constructivist theme is consistent throughout the interior with visible features that retain structural door casings while partially exposing the painted doors, paying tribute to Defender models of the past. The standard infotainment system featuring an intuitive interface with Software-Over-The-Air updates lets you enjoy your favorite multimedia via a standard 11.4-inch touchscreen with standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility.
